And who were you, the handsome prince? I liked the way this little piece rolled along, coping with the shift from iambic to trochaic rhythm almost imperceptibly via the catalectic line 4 to a full bodied trochaic heptameter in line 5 and ending back on an iambic heptameter with a feminine ending. The internal rhyme, eye/lie, in line 2 is another nice touch.

A wonderful tale, beautifully told. I love reading storie originally told in olden times that are given a modern look and treatment. I too have my own version of this classic tale and others, told with an urban flavor. Great job.

Very nicely metered poem. Also loved the slant rhyme eye/lie that kept it moving along.
I guess we all know women like her - graced by a beauty that gives her a "pass" - And she uses it to her advantage by willing males. Yet she really doesn't care. It's all a game and stays above the fray.
And comes out unscathed - (always a man who will willingly "bite".) lol
Well done!
