A very well-written informative and great lesson that can save a lot of money. I do that also with my dish washer from time to time to keep the outlets clean from grime.

Sankey,

What a great teaching write! What we would call Baking Soda in the US is your
Bi-carb Soda is such a great cleaner and the vinegar to balance the PH factor, not to mention killing those moldy things. I thank you for sharing this tip. GracieAnn

Thanks Sis your review is a bit cut up hehe but I figured it out. Always good to share stuff that helps. Thanks for the connection I had a feeling baking Soda was one and the same.

I did not know about cleaning the washer's drum every three months. I guess I've been lucky over the years, but I'll use your formula from now on. Thanks for saving us time and money on repairs. Cheers- Joan

No worries Joan. A friend said she has run her washer a lot more than we probably have with 4 kids and never had the problem so I guess different strokes for different folks. Cheers.

Hi, Geoff

= Better to learn 'late than never', I say.
= When something so simple is pointed out, makes one wonder why they couldn't figure it out.
= At least you got 'er done!

Cheers, J (*<*)
Have a good day/evening!

HGi Sis as I shared in the previous response. A Sis in the Lord (the one I taught on the piano at 8 all those years ago in my book) said with four kids she uses her washer a lot more and never had the proba=lem so go figure.

Mine doesn't stop working when it needs to be cleaned. Every once in awhile I just dump some bleach in it and hit the clean button. I probably don't do it as often as I should though. We all learned something because of this post. Hopefully, mine never stops working

Thanks mate I figure you are taking the precaution and stopping it happening anyway. ANother friend said with fourt kids she uses her machine a lot and never had the problem neither.

Thanks for the lesson. I will pass it on. My daughter comes and gets mine now where I live but it is always good to learn something worth while. Thanks Sankey.

What a great pass me on information for the rest of us to know. Easy is better than hard work of paying a repairman or tearing it apart.

Yep Barb felt like it might be a help to some others out there. A Sis in the lord says her machine has never done this to her even for a lot longer than ours and for a lot more hard work so go figure.

This is something I didn't know about washing machines but it's pretty neat. Yes a good lesson learned and cheaper than a repairman. Thanks for sharing, God bless my brother.

Sankey this is a very well written post about cleaning out the drum in the washing machine. You used very good wording that is a great help to a lot of folks on here. Very good wording and nice picture! Blessings, Teri

Thanks Sis. We appreciated our Carer for her great advice. As I said, saved the cost of a repairman! Had the Jehovah Non Witnesses call by this morning. I did speak to them briefly and thought if we believers who are able did more door knocking there would be more lost saved.
