I liked probably every line of this enjoyable poem.
It drew me in instantly. I wanted it to go on and on. It's bouncy, clever and fun.

Love it! I completely relate. Except not only disagreeable paperwork with the incomprehensible legalese but I also have piles of projects I enjoy doing but the sight of my piles keep me from attempting to work on organizing. I'm sure you're more organized than I am. Fun poem, great meter and yes, escape to the convertible!

Love it! I completely relate. Except not only disagreeable paperwork with the incomprehensible legalese but I also have piles of projects I enjoy doing but the sight of my piles keep me from attempting to work on organizing. I'm sure you're more organized than I am. Fun poem, great meter and yes, escape to the convertible!

I was sorta misleading as it isn't really my desk, but mine isn't far from it. Someone suggested I write a sequel. Now there's incentive to cleaning it off!

Although my poetry tends to be neat, my personal disorder does not at all reflect, (I'm tidy on the inside, but not on the reflective outside!) well dine, you've communicated, articulately, that you wish a change of scenery, something to inspire change of environment. thanks, Roy. My desk isn't quite that bad, but sorta. Have to admit there is a pile of stuff that needs decisions and means phone calls, but I don't have a convertible. :)

My desk, once replete and white is now quite simply a mess! Water bottles, tissues, scraps of paper,chewed up pens, a makeup bag, files and a bottle of shake and vac for starters! I would love to be one of those who's desk does not bear coffee stains or whose pen tidy is actually tidy not just random junk squashed into a melee of trash. I am so glad I am not alone. The Japanese would disprove, perhaps my writing WOULD be better if I tidied it, Feng-shui-ed it, but you see the more I tidy it, the messier it seems to get :) Congratulations on a great poem kind regards Meia x

I love "Feng shui-ed it" except no way I can move it - the desk.
I think messy desks mean busy, creative minds - at least that's the way I like to look at it.

Patty, - this is a desk I found on Google. Though mine isn't that bad, it IS messy and I am trying to sift through it and take care of the pile of to-do's. the two I mentioned ARE real. ugh.
