This was moving. At first i wasn't sure of the meaning and i usually don't read notes, but in this case im glad i did. Artwork was lovely. Thx Theresa. I Would recommend this.

Footprints - a word that says so much and needs no explanation; whatever our journey - leaving our mark is what is important. Succinct and meaningful :)

That is terribly sad. I guess that our lives are but a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things, but this poem is still BLEAK. Good writing, though --Roseanne

I was confused at first as you are old enough to be gr grandpa. I did not know which grabpa which baby. However, obviously 99+ others did and loved your short emotion raising poem. Well done, congratulations on all time fav.

Very poignant...Transcendental in its delivery and meaning, I am not a huge fan of small poems, but this is very deep in the few words you have used to get there. I think the picture could have been a little more spiritual but it still hits home. Beautiful.

Jungle: great honor to your grandpa with life and death.
Treasure his long life and fun times together. Seems like
he liked being with people and his warm bed. God bless.

I'm writing a NaNo in November. Thought I would say Hi, ya all.

Very good Bill. Saw the little guy and thought how will this turn out? Very well done. Read your foot notes. It helped. Thanks for sharing.

This certainly is a good reminder to live each day to the fullest because you never know when your last will be. I think that if we are proud of the life we live then our death isn't as sad to others because we did everything we could have done.

Once I was pretty sure I was going to die, and my last words would have been oh shit. Perhaps it was that undignified exit line that led the Maker to use a big pine tree, an airbag and a seat belt to let me do a retake. Old men in the nursing home cry for momma as their brain goes, so grandpa's story makes sense...fivers.

short and sharp, but ringing with truth - life's clock ticks indeed...
we are here just for a fleeting time - gone with a blink of an eye.

good luck with the contest, my friend - a great entry.
