This is an interesting take on Non-fiction writing and that should make you happy. It does seem that the gifted are ahead of their time and are awarded posthumously. Kind of makes me think about our life's journey as believers in God-we suffer, have all kinds of trials, face death and disease, but receive our reward posthumously for an earthly life of unappreciated service. --> I thought maybe you meant -- whatever this word is -- so I went to check it out... that was a no no. The first thing that came up was the urban dictionary. Ummm... this is not a nice word there.

You have caught the essence of snobbery quite well. However, you neglected the most prevalent, harmful snobs of today's world. That is our U.S. Government and all its various departments. They decide what is best for us, and how we should live, regardless of how often they are proven wrong, totally wrong.

I love 'em too, and if you ask me, cliches would not exist if they weren't excellent. Who remembers what they had for dinner three months earlier (unless it was somebody's birthday... LOL).
WOW - from your lips/pen to my ego! I've felt like that MANY times - but guess what, my friend? It doesn't matter a tinker's damn, 'cause AT LEAST ONE 'someone' on that committee will hate what I write no matter what it is! HAHAHAHAHA! Remember, when you are feeling down about a contest, or a review, FanStory doesn't 'qualify' ANYBODY - HAHAHAHAHA!
(I am just being a smart-ass - if qualifications were so important, I just came close to negating the whole premise of my piece. It's ASSUMED they ALL have a little more know-how than the average office worker when it comes to writing.)
Then again, I've know some office workers who could write a MEAN press release, present American admin excepted...LOL. Oops - "Off with my head!" (Trump supporters)
