Thanks for your honest words Brett. I think we all go through this stagnation every now and again on this site. Everyone has different aspirations about what they want to get out of this site.
I think the beauty of this site is that it shows many wonderful diverse poets and writers who share their work.
I think the politics of this place can frustrate people sometimes and the nature of the beast is that we are slaves to the system.
There are some on this site with pretty healthy egos who continually self promote
which is fine but there are others who are excellent writers and poets who are nearly lost in the woodwork who never get the recognition they deserve.
Yes we all how our agendas why we come here and many reasons why one wants to leave. I hope to see you back sooner than later. Good luck in any endeavour you pursue.

Stepping back and reevaluating the entire situation was the best thing I could have done,.

Now, I know precisely what I want from this site.

I recommend a sabbatical for all members.

Taking a break was the best thing I could have done.

It allowed me to step back and rediscover precisely what I want from this site.

Would recommend for all members.

Sorry to hear you are tacking a break from all of us hope you don't think we run you into a blank wall. It is rocky here at times and some are a bit rough some time but they all mean well most of the time snarky is the one I look out for,

I'm sorry to hear that you are overworked. I get exhausted after working on a story of twelve hundred words or more. Then there are all the needed corrections I learn. But you have the good fortune to write, having very few mistakes if any, and get exhausted from it. Enjoy your rest, my friend.
