I really admire your subject matter, it's a very challenging genre and one that many wisemen (and women) have tackled for many centuries, (flesh can't possibly grasp what is not flesh) I am devoutly Christian, and to my knowledge is the only religion with a bridge to the Unknown, through the sacrifice of Christ and propitiation and forgiveness of sins, that comes by faith not by any law, it is the bridge to eternity. The whole tenet is based on a few explanatory scriptures:- Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the subject of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," and Ephesians 2:8-9, For it is by faith are Ye saved through faith, but not of yourselves, (by law or self effort) lest anyone should boast." Or "without faith it is impossible to please God." Hebrews 11:6-8. So it means a mere child has a better chance of connecting with the eternal, than the cleverness of man! it seems to me that everything else is connecting...to what? Well done, well written and presented, blessings, Roy

A very well-written and interesting essay. Our thoughts are very powerful and is where our later actions are formed. We should all strife to find our inner peace that will soothes our conscious mind.

Liked concept defined in your story and loved all the quotes used to support your concept. Truth be told, misery loves company, 'He who stands alone is an enemy of the people'- Ebsen and very few travel the now and here and hence '...the road less travelled." Enjoyed you definition of "The mystic has removed all vestiges of fantasy, indoctrination, false beliefs and false values and is synchronized and harmonized with the symphony of life." Grace, love and peace to us in spirit.

This work is excellent in its writing and presentation. I'm not sure if I agree with a single thought expressed here, but I know where you are coming from. I presume a lot of people are going to give you quite a time arguing points, so I won't. It is interesting enough for me to read another perspective about life.

Another fantastic piece I thoroughly enjoyed.
And posted to my Google, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook pages.

I particularly like the following passage, and of course the old Greek Wise Man!

The self is our personality or ego. It is the source of all humanity's woes and problems. It is an artificial (man-made) mind created by its ability to think, feel and experience its worldly existence. It is the differentiating factor between the human animal and all other natural life forms. It seeks to be independent in its self-defined universe, even though there is no such thing as independence for any life form. All life is dependent on all other life in order to "be."

Thanks for giving me so much to ponder about.

Cogitator--
I think I could make a good case from your essay and so many other "religious" or spiritual attempts at illumination that the hatred, and in your case it is that, of the poor, pathetic ego, is the problem, not the solution. Your hatred is the problem.

There are times when the human ego is the only force willing to, able to stand up to the "Self," to say, sorry, but I am me, I am an individual, I will not be bulldozed by your or your dream of ONENESS. I say, NO!

The ego has a purpose, a dog's fear and willingness to fight for itself against abuse is "ego." Same for human beings. You are trying to kill the ego rather than trying to praise it, include it, and that merely strengthens it.

Sorry, I don;' buy your nirvana here for a moment until ego and its purpose is included. If you were correct it would have long ago, been extinguished. You are not correct. It has been strengthened.

Here are some comments.

He is able to see the entire (rainbow.) You cite the rainbow as a form of curve out of bounds when, in fact, it is a sign of God's Law regarding vision. Is not "curved" at all.

The ego is the reason for all human ills because it can activate an ignorant response that goes against natural law. Bullshit.

Only with the agreement that the ignorant human ego is the ONLY cause of human strife can we proceed on the path to enlightenment. Same thing.

Best

Serious thinking here, out of my intellectual reach, and some excellent quotes.
I have searched long for truth, through static and weather fronts and radio
interference and hysteria, so bless the mystic if he can find it. Thought provoking post.

When we interpret waves of energy as frequency, we imagine Time and number. The only time that exists in truth is the moment we call NOW. There is no such thing as past or future in truth. Our inborn consciousness resides in NOW. We imagine Space and size by interpreting the amplitude and size of the energy waves from our Point of View. That consciousness represents HERE. Our true self has always been and will always be HERE and NOW and designates the center of our universe. It is our Point of View. We will never experience death. The combination of HERE/NOW is the Space/Time continuum Einstein refers to and it will always exist. Ego's universe is finite and temporary while the mystic's universe is infinite and eternal.
The conceptualised universe we visualise is caused from communicating with energy and is based upon our understanding. Our understanding is limited by our ignorance, and our ignorance is primarily caused by our level of literacy when we attempt to communicate ideas to others. ' I have tried to explain this concept many times.Eventually I just gave up. Well done for giving a thorough and intelligent discussion starter. You are so bright and I enjoy the break from the norm as this subject should really be in the forefront(frontal lobes...lol) of peoples minds. But they are too scared to go there. kind regards Meia x
