I'm not sure about this one. To me, "crack-l-ing" is three syllables, but it might be different in your dialect, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. The content is pleasing, and the poem does give a contented winter night feel.

I really like how you SET THE SCENE before the fire place with lovers cuddling and reading. Better yet, this scene was repeated for forty years. What a lovely way to recall a relationship.

Poem meets the requirements of this contest, which are the poem is addressed to a lover, and the poem is written in 5-7-7.

Structurally, found no errors.
