Friendship is a wonderful thing. Old friends and new should be cherished and the bond nourished. I have friends that I don't see for a long time but when we do see each other, it's like we just pick up where we left off the last time we saw each other.
This is a beautiful piece you have written.

A true friendship is worth its weight in gold, for time has no relevance. No matter how longer you go between seeing each other, whenever you get together it is like you have never been apart. Few people get to have someone like that, if you have it, it is a treasure for sure : )

A very well-written poem about a wonderful relationship that has no boundaries. It is not with anyone we can have that special kind of bond. Many friends we forgot over the years, but there are always those that stand out.

We get so caught up in our lives that time and circumstances have a way of separating us from those we were once so close to. When a chance meeting comes along giving you an opportunity to reconnect with an old friend, well... that's extra special.

This was a really nice poem to your friend, beautiful sentiment you shared. If I may a few comments.
For the line, "Funny but I wasn't questioning myself why" I think it might flow better with something like "But funny enough, I never questioned why"
Also, the lines beginning with "Maybe we were brought together" until "Have I told you".... this section, you changed the rhyming pattern and it interfered with the flow and made it that section a little awkward to read.
The poem still shows you really do care for your friend and I hope she enjoyed it!
