This septolet, Porcupine Quills versus Terrorists, is set up properly and somehow draws a comparison between these two seemingly unrelated entities. "Orange hair" throws me for a loop.

I share your plea for considered action.
But I prefer diplomacy over discretion--even if both options
appear to elude our CIC.
Retribution is a very scary word.
Retribution leads to retribution.
Great care must be taken.

Peace, Lee

I hope that all the man in the White House does is "Twitter" and not act hastily.
Thank you friend for reading and commenting.

This is a hard theme, I don't think anyone has ever thought of a successful method of curbing terrorism, just more complex ones. A nice entry in this contest, there is some good wording and answers the challenge well, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

Good job on your Septolet poem to be entered in the contest. Without reading too much into the poem, I could feel the sentiment you were trying to bring, but the words fell a bit flat for me.

Perhaps you can make the words stronger to convey the message,

Good luck in the contest,

~patty~

Patty, this is most helpful. You have read some of my other works and know I try to keep things simple. I will re-read and consider your suggestion. I am working on bettering this craft.

    Thank you,

I gave five stars for the parts I understood. I did not understand the orange hair part? I tried but maybe I am just missing something I should already know? I do like the idea represented that like the porcupine quills, we/they could suddenly be bombarded.

Orange hair, the man who controls the button....sarcastic comment....our current president. The state of affairs we are experiencing is largely due to remarks that are not appropriate. I pray and hope he " twitters" instead of act out.
I am not into political agendas but occassionally I feel compelled to remark.
No offense to anyone intended. Hope this clarification helps.

This speaks that there is no time left for action against terrorists as sharp blows must be dealt to terrorists who are more dangerous than animals be wiped out altogether; I liked.

Glad you liked the analogy. This was difficult, my first attempt at writing this genre.

Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Your poem brings up a lot of questions that we should be asking. A question that I have as I am sure many other people do as well, and that is why all the hate in the world?

Basic questions for these times. How to rid the world of evils? Violence certainly isn't stopped by counter-violence. I agree, why?

A well-written poem. Unfortunately, it is not a Seotolet. A Septolet is limited to fourteen words devided in two stanzas of 7/7 or 6/8 or 8/6. When some words are cut out you may make it to fourteen words.
