This tyburn, Don't Put Your Faith in Apples, is set up properly and suggests that rather than keeping the doctor away by apple ingestion, see the doctor and give her the apple.

Clever observation, Bill, but, as she undoubtedly would be familiar with the "keeps the doctor away" adage, mightn't she misinterpret the gesture as a subtle message that the patient intends to stop seeing her?
Thanks for the excellent review!

Maybe she'll accept it as payment. (in a fairy tale)

LOL! You're right. The Tyburn is a "trying" form. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but there's nothing like a good doctor when we need one. Much luck in the contest with this fun entry. Marilyn

But you said, "Much luck in the contest..." ??

Hi Don. Then I guess I didn't know when I first reviewed it that it was yours. However, I did write a congrats on your wall when you won. Marilyn

Read it twice and realized you used a lady doc, then read the authors notes...duh.
Cute, but I always say if they don't make it as doctors, they can be spies who force information.lol

This is a very interesting tyburn poem you have penned for the writing prompt. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with the picture of the apple. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Thank you for complimenting my tyburn poem, Teri. I always find it a troublesome form, so your review is especially reassuring.

Hi;
it looks like Tyburn poems are taking over the board today. Yours is another entertaining one - well written, and perfectly formatted. I enjoyed reading and I wish you well in the contest,
