I wish. They get paid to play. We pay them by supporting them. But I can't support, or even in any way agree with this nonsense...no football in our house. GREAT entry!! Blessings....

Thanks! My mother never let us play football in the house either! :) Cheers, Dennis

You did it in six words. Yay!
Forget politics and kick the ball is what this says in plain words. You have written it in poetic form and rhyme. Nice work!

Thank you! But can you believe two different 'experts' tried to rewrite it for me? LOL! I therefore appreciate your excellent taste in all things poetic even more! Cheers, Dennis

NFL is a wonderful sport that all races and nationalities can sit back and enjoy.
This sport speaks a language that everyone understands: WIN!
Your 7-word poem is okay, but it could be written better. You wrote this:
Forget the politic,
the ball:kick!
Suggested improvement:
Forget the politics, / add an 's'
Kick the ball! / change word order
Best wishes.

Thanks, no offense but ball and politics don't rhyme...:)
reply by Curly Girly on 28-Sep-2017
    True!
Sorry, I didn't realise rhyme was intended.
The poor English was too distracting.
    Maybe...
    Forget the politics,
    enjoy the kicks!
    or:
    Forget the politics,
    Let's see those kicks!

    Good luck and best wishes.

Can't leave well enough alone, gotta get another dig in "the poor English was too distracting" LOL You really are a literary snob aren't you? :)

Our job here is to review and I gave an honest opinion.

consider it ignored if I didn't make that clear earlier. It's SIX words! Sheesh!

A very well-written seven word poem telling every one it is time to end the politics and rather start kicking the ball where it belongs.
Good luck with the contest.

Nice simple but not simple statement on football and politics. It does seem like some politicians do seem to punt a lot after making mistakes.

Good luck.

A great message in so few words. We watch sports to escape from listening to the rest of life; now even that doesn't seem to work.

Good image to go along with this shorty.

Very nice posting!

Politics is part of everything I'm afraid, when I played there was those who tried to climb the ladder even in this humble hame. A well presented and carefully manicured seven word entry in this contest, good luck, great ambiguity, well done, blessings, Roy

That's cool./ It's also a sentiment I haven't heard much during this over-hyped debate. I won't debate the issue here. I'm focused on the work.

I'm not certain a semi-colon is the right punctuation there. Wouldn't a colon, or a simple comma, work better?

Anyway, good luck. You've written a charged piece in just seven words, and that ain't easy.

Hahaha, funny and timely to say the least! I agree with your sentiment. Football on the field, politics off the field. My husband would boycott the NFL if our son wasn't so enamored of the game. Great entry.

Well I cannot imagine anyone or anything delivering REAL IMPACT as well as this work is doing it! The football, about to be kicked, gets the message through as well as a live film would do the job. I cannot suggest anything to improve this work. HIS GRAYNESS; Vance
