I can't wait to see where you are going with this. It's so cool that you have an upper committee that is in charge. It's sort of like 'Highlander', (I think they had helpers, maybe I'm thinking of something else). Loved the ending when Joe said he didn't know if his wife would like the cuddling :P

SUPERB CLOSING TWIST with the jump into the past. Riveting.

I enjoyed this well-penned chapter. Good characterization, dialog, narrative and pacing. Superb closing. A bit of spag.

Thanks, dear. I had no sixes left or might have given this one. I should have known that was UK spelling! I've learned a lot of those (like traveling and travelling) but had not learned fulfil yet. Thanks!

Your story is intriguing even though different stories of time travel are not new you've added twist with "imaginary friends" being explained in common sense and for those of us who had children you had them this is a unique story. I shall revisit some of those endearing chums. Very nicely done. I enjoyed it even more because are a author who punctuates, uses grammatically correct language and all I had to do was sit back, read and enjoy.
