I like your poem in its entirety, but I agree with and really like your fourth stanza. Also good alliteration of t words in the same stanza. Your poem flows and rhymes well and your artwork choice goes well with your thoughts.

In my opinion, a plaintive and artful poem, although I must confess I am unfamiliar with the form - I still enjoyed the read, which I thought was captivating in its earnest appeal...

A very well crafted poem. I enjoyed reading it very much. The subject was slightly
Unnerving as I sensed a feeling of great neediness.
Thanks for sharing. Very best wishes.

A sweet poem and it seems very well done to me. I'm not really a qualified poetry critic, tho. I think many little kids suffer from fear, and it can be totally irrational, but regardless, they need comfort. (The pic is adorable.) My grandkids are growing up but they still have fears, but so what? So do I. Lol.

I just LOVE the Villanelle form, haven't seen one for awhile, and thought of writing one myself today. This is so touching, seen from the toddlers eye, the world is indeed a bit much. From our own eyes too....a great offering!! Blessings....

Thank you for including notes about the Villanelle to remind what the form entails. I enjoyed your rhymes and repeats with variations. None of us is too young or too old to need love to calm our fear! Sighs- Joan

I really likes these type of poems with repetitive lines. It can be very tricky, but you did really well having the lines make sense. Good job! Cute picture, too.

Hi T, this is a lovely villanelle with skillful use of iambic meter, clever rhymes and a haunting refrain that works effortlessly throughout the poem. Outstanding write.

Beautiful Villanelle with all the elements in place,
as to rhyme, meter and repeat lines.
Love can bring security to anyone young or old.
She's adorable.

Riding the subway can be scary even for me and I'm an adult. It would be nice to always someone there. Well thought out and clearly written. Good narrative poem. Nice work.
