Having the repeating line as the first, second, third then forth shows your writing skill many would have used it as a first or second line throughout and Stuck to an easy ABAB rhyming scheme. Selected a perfect pic to accompany your work. Had to look up festooned felt dumb when I saw the meaning. Color-colour depends where you live. Great poem

Wonderful presentation. It's fitting for the season. Nice poem too. Good comparison between autumn and mardi gras with the bright colors. Well thought out and clearly written. In any language, it is still autumn.

Thank you so much for all the kudos, Marilyn. I know little French besides the words I used in the poem, but I've always visualized AUTUMN as the most jubilant of all the seasons with Parisian charm.
