Good point in this 3-5-3. Listen to what your gut tells you. It's obvious when someone doesn't hold the other person in high regard. Actions don't lie. Much luck in the contest. Marilyn

True, but most importantly, don't trust lying daisies. Sans frequent cheating, they achieve only 50% accuracy, while misleading gullible romantics.

.Thanks for the good wishes for the contest, Marilyn, but by the time I could get to the ballot box to make my selection , too many other voters already had made their choices. The last time I checked, I confirmed that "Futility'" was aptly titled, with votes other than mine totaling approximately zero.

    Keep healing well.

Hi there,

Although the prompt itself isn't very clear, the 3-5-3 normally refers to syllable count rather than word count. Your last line may disqualify you as it has four syllables. But as I say the prompt isn't specific.

I liked your piece very much, harking back to the old daisy game. Head over heart?

All the best

Thank you, thank you, giraffmang! Your take on my little poem is most rewarding. And, you saved my bacon (again), alerting me to my syllable count oversight, which I attended to before anyone else noticed. I think the "revision" actually improved the line, but I'm not sure.

You are a very helpful fellow. You've kept me out of trouble a few times, for which I am very grateful.
