The first goes to his appointment. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of him and the others. Gotta keep reading. Well done.

Hi there;
I'm so glad you are enjoying the novel so far. You're the first one I know of to read the current chapters in one swift go-through. My daughter read what I had just this past weekend, and she loved it. But, I think she is prejudiced.

I'm sure I'd be feeling very nervous at this point. I wonder if there is even one soul on earth who has not done something they would rather not have hanging over their head for this final interview. I'm enjoying your story, Patty, and can't wait to see where you are taking us. xx Sandra x

Hi Sandra;
yes, I imagine the Waiting Room is full of nerves, and worries about wrongdoings. I'm glad you are enjoying the story,

I think you have an interesting premise here, the gates of heaven kind of like the waiting room in an office where they make job interviews. I think you did a good job of keeping people's sense of self, and personality, and even character, in this little snippet of dialogue; "Is this where we will meet Him?" "I wonder how long this is going to take" "I'm not sure i'm supposed to be here yet" "thank you for holding the door for me". in there, we get a great sense of the cares and ideas and trepidations and worries of these people, and a sense of their humanity, their imperfections, their personalities. I think you don't quite explain the machines; what are they? I like the suspense at the end, the one person getting called through the door, as in an interview, and we wonder if its going to be pass or fail. its a nice little hook and we can't wait to see what will happen. Overall, interesting. estory

Hi; so sorry this response is so late. I was tied up with work (writing) for the past few weeks. I do appreciate your concise and thorough review of the piece. Your observations were interesting. The explanation of the machines is coming up,

As I read this I felt a little anxious (this is a good thing) because it's a place we are all going to end up some day and I can't help but wonder what it is going to be like, so as I read, I put myself in their positions.
I like how this story is progressing and how each character split up when they entered the waiting room. I instantly said, I would walk around and look at everything but then I would be the one to sit quietly and observe.

A very interesting and imaginative story. I will definitely want to read on. I will have to go back and get caught up on the rest of the story.

Roger Cummings has had his name called into the judgement room.
His eyes have widened. Perhaps he has seen something amazing, or is it surprising? Either way, we are about to find out in the next chapter that is coming up.

This is a good chapter, gradually shedding light on an interesting premise.
Question: What is a special note?
How does a door pop open?
I can't imagine anyone saying,
"Thank you so much for holding the door for me," but who knows what we would say?
I'm probably being a nuisance.

Hey Patty,
I certainly enjoyed reading this and don't worry I wasn't offended. In fact when I read stuff like this I makes me think of what kind of afterlife awaits me. I wish God in all his wisdom and power had simplified things and gave man just one religion so there would be no confusion and fighting. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed this continuation, Patty.
It is a very interesting piece about a subject most of us don't really give much thought. I have throughout my life so far tried to comprehend religion a certain way but never in theis particular way you write about here.
You do it well and you have every right to see and talk about it your way and nobody else's. I don't find it pushy at all.

Interesting. Can't wait to see what Cummings found there.
the earth's air <-- Always use capital E when speaking of the planet Earth, since it's a name, a proper noun. When written with a small e, earth means soil/dirt.
