How sad. I've cared for a few people with ALS, and it's an awful disease. I'm glad Jenny had Joey back in her life. Maybe Ron does care for her as much as he's able to.

Good morning, Patty:
I am happy that this story turned out so well, not in the sense that she lost her husband to such a painful and horrible disease (and death.) but that she and Ron were able to reconnect with their son after giving him up for adoption. This was good for all of them. I loved that their son got to spend so much time with Ron and that he was there for his mother and stepsisters for the funeral.
So much has happened during the years but in the end it was a success story. It is good that they all have each other.

Hi Tier;
there is still one more chapter. It completes the story and ties up all the loose ends,

The reason that I ended up fanning you was because of this story. And after I became your fan, you didn't post anymore to it... until now. I really enjoyed it! The last ending was awful to suffer through, this one is the same! I can't wait for more!

Hi Natali;
so sorry I took so long to get back to this. I need to wait and see what happened in real life. There's two more chapters, but feel free to join me in the saga of 'The Waiting Room.'

Patty,
I haven't been following the whole story, so perhaps it's presumptuous of me to make any sort of 'structural' comments. The piece is really well written and it's easy to see that you have talent, but you're skimming over all the story. You're telling all the highlights and leaving out the STORY. I recently learned in a class that we should be careful about mentioning things that happened previously if we're not willing to tell the readers exactly what happened. We only pique their interest and leave the with questions and feeling dissatisfied.
Perhaps find a different way to share this info? Either let them experience the stuff first hand OR let them find out about these highlights during a conversation between two characters, maybe, so the reader still feels like he's taking part...?
Just a thought. Thanks and good luck!

Hi Robyn;
that's a good idea, and I will address it. The problem with this for me is I had to wait to see what happened in 'real life,' before I could finish the story. I think I have a way of putting it into dialogue, but given what happened, that may be rough for me.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review; it gives me some pause, and a better way to write it,

Aw, this is going to kill me. I want to know how they get together again and whether the love is still there. I'm guessing Ron is probably alone too - or does he have someone?
Can't wait for the next.
Four-wheeling ~ Sorry, Patty, but what's four-wheeling?

Wow - that was a speedy journey through decades. So the next thought is - will Jenny and Ron get together? Not sure whose hand Jenny is holding in 2017...

Patty, thanks for writing this part of the story. I had wondered where the relationship had taken Jenny and Ron. I see you say it will be continued and I look forward to reading more of the story. Patricia

Hi Patricia;
I got away from this story for a bit. I will get this novel finished so I can concentrate on 'The Waiting Room.' Only two more chapter of this one. Thank you so much for sticking with it and me,

Patty, the story turned out to be lovely. To see Jenny and Ron's hopeful future together gives me a gleeful feeling. I read the beginning of this story and clearly, I did not see it going in this direction. I love it.
