I have no clue as to where these ideas come from. I may be guilty of watching too much Walking dead with their zombies and game of thrones with their many and varied characters. If I hear a phrase or word that's takes my fancy, I write it down in my trusty note book and can write a poem or story around it. Thanks for your feedback. PM

As soon as I got to the part about the Blackbirds squawking, I instantly got a picture of dead bodies stumbling around and the birds flying over head in a cloudy sky-picking out their next meal.

Lol yes you're right. Turn on the TV any channel any time and there are Zombies, white walkers, giants fairies, goblins ad infinitum.thanks for the review. PM

I really REALLY enjoyed this. The thing is, zombies are hella slow and therefore I reckon you could run away from them unless they were coming from all directions. Obviously they need to eat brains because their brains are dead but the thing is eating brains doesn't seem to make them any smarter. If they had any real brains they would go to McDonald's, much tastier than brains (although possibility of brains contained in McDonald's burgers as it can still be classed as 100 percent beef ' as I understand. This also includes skin and organ meat. Sorry I have gone off topic, this was a fab and funny 100 word write, scary to if you are scared of Zombies, they are one supernatural 'entity' that has never really scared me. Guess it would if I met a bunch on a dark night! Well done with the write kind regards Meia xx

Not to nitpick but this has the look of a poem more than a dribbly flash. No problem to my sensibilities. AMC has taken the zoomby bit pretty near the limit with the Walking Dead genre. Looks like an excellent take on the world of Zs.

I may not have understood the rules then. I thought you could write anything as long as it didn't exceed the word limit. If that's not the case it will get disqualified and I will have learnt a lesson. Thanks for the review. PM

This is a good descriptive poem. I could picture zombies walking around birds in the treetops crowing, not sure what to do. I could see this being used as an introduction for a zombie or apocalypse book. Give the readers a taste of what's in store.

What'd be really cool would be to have it be read to them when they open the book. With clanking chains, moaning, groaning. That alone would probably sell the book. I wonder if I could do that for Mercy's killing. Now you got me thinking.
