Well done! While reading it, I could picture the scenario smoothly and crisply. At times there were places that I had to reread to understand completely, but aside from that, I cannot see any problems.

I wanted eeriness of this poem to continue, it was that good. The pace and scheme of your poem sold itself to me as the reader. Your words accomplish both to the vivid imagery and pace which hit all the right emotional buttons that puts the fright into the Halloween tradition. Well done!

A very well-written poem telling the story of the ghost of Baker park. The old grave yard sites are usually ghostly and many stories are told. Some are believable and some really bizarre.

Very nice ... very haunting. The Civil War has always interested me, so points to you right away for drawing me in with this interesting subject matter. You reference it early on and I was hooked from there on out. Just one thing: I didn't understand why some stanzas had ~ between them. Otherwise, well done.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! As for the ~ I wanted to clearly separate the beginning and ending stanzas... They were written with a slightly different pattern for rhyme and used for the story's introduction and then summary. Again, thank you so much for your review and comments! Thank you so much for such a wonderful review of my story of "The Ghost of Baker Park!" It was one of several Halloween pieces I had written for the special events group of our local government that was hosting a "Halloween Tour of the Park" event. I worked for the City and someone knew that (for fun), I liked to write. I geared the poems towards all the different park effects. Some were funny and ironic; this one was a little more on the eerie side! I am so very happy that you enjoyed this one and thank you again for a splendid review of my work! Have a wonderful day!

I can't criticize the mechanics of this work, but I can say it has a nostalgic feel, like a story I heard as a young child. Definitely appropriate for October. very much enjoyed!
