I liked your "wall scrawl" and the matching "Graffiti Wall" picture. Your rhymed quatrain form was effective and hope creating it helped you deal with the frustration. Smiles- Joan

Stupid computer. I had started my response and it played up. A couple of you have said Quatrain and I appreciate the tag. I need to get a book on Poem forms. If you look back I have mentioned the problem I worked out after 60 years. Thanks for coming by. Have to do more cleaning up to see what else I can find.

Yes, keep cleaning and sharing more of your work, plus good luck with your computer. Best wishes- Joan

A very well-written poem. Graffiti on the street walls can be nasty and disgusting no matter how they try to cover it up. Problems can drive us crazy when we cannot solve it.

Yep Sis. As I shared with someone. I have a feeling the problem I only worked out after 60 years was why, as a child, my feet used to get real sore walking around the city with my Mum. I was watching a MUm and a small child one day and noticed how for every step the MUm took, the little one had to take 2. That was how I figured it out!

Things will appear and holds one's attention. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Take time and reflect on it. The answer will come.

Ah, these lttle gems we tend to stumble upon, like, in the spring cleaning.
I love the rhyme although, as a confessed no poet, I wouldn't be able to say which form this one is.

Enjoyed it all the same.

Hi friend, someone said Quatrain but I am as you are not up on poetic form I might have to get a book on it. Thanks for coming by. Read the previous review and you will see what my problem was I finally sorted only about 6 years ago after 60 years!

Don't you love finding your hidden gems after many years. Some good, some fixable, some trash. I have no idea what type of poem this is, but I liked it. Glad you found it and posted it.

Thanks friend. I am glad it gave folks some enjoyment. It obviously pays to clean up every now and then. n Read back a couple of reviews and see what the problem was I worked out after 60 years...now 6 years ago.

I have seen a lot of graffiti that I could read and lots that did not make any sense at all. I like the art and mosaics that are done in the name of graffiti art. I like your poem. It depicts what most of it is like and what is usually written on doors and cars. Good job.

Cute little rhyme. I don't know if the form has a name or not though. Did you ever remember the problem and get it solved? Love the wall picture!! Blessings....PS...Do you ever hear from Bob, (Mastery)? I send him messages, I know he was sick...I hope he's better.

Have not heard from Bob in ages. I think he finished his book "Falling up the Stairs." We are not friends on Face book now I think he moved off there. I am not sure if I remember what the problem was. I do know it took me sixty years to figure out why as a small boy, my feet used to get particularly sore walking around the city under the tow of my Mum. I was awatchi8ng a small child being drawn along the walkway in a store back then and it came to me how for every step MUm or Dad took he or she had to take TWO! Hence extra sore little feet roaming around town. Not sure if that was the problem though.

Hi, Sankey.
This is such a fun verse. Graffiti is a huge problem and can cause some places to look as if they've been hijacked by the mob. When personal property gets tagged, then it becomes particularly annoying.
One has to admit though, this particular image is quite cheerful and colourful.
Drove me up the wall.

I'm sorry to hear that, Sankey. Take heart and stay strong. I loved your funny verse about a social problem.

I am terrible with poetic styles but do know, I like this one and love the illustration you chose to accompany it. Nice work, and keep up the clean up, you may find another gem.

Thanks, Sasha I so appreciate you coming by. Had a lousy review up top. I have learned these types get MUTED! HEHE! If they were a newbie I would understand but the culprit has been on the site fo0r NINE years and not done much reviewing! Grrr!
reply by Sasha on 03-Sep-2017
I saw that and to be honest, sometimes the reviewer clicks the 5 but doesn't immediately click the response box and that starts typing. That often changes the 5 to a 2, 3, or 4. It may well not have been intended. Instead of assuming they did it intentionally, simply ask them if they intended to give you a 2, 3 or 4 and if they did, could they please let you know what they think you could do to improve your post. You would be amazed how many say, Oh, no, I meant to give you a 5 and they try go back and fix it. Muting someone that may have accidentally given you a low rating without giving them a chance to explain or fix it is not fair. Most that do this are very quick to fix the error and you avoid loosing a potential fan,

Sasha the party has been on the site for 9 years and has done next to no Reviewing, I will see if I can unmute for now.
reply by Sasha on 03-Sep-2017
I have been here since 2008 and I occasionally click the wrong number and most just ask me to clarify what I could do to improve their work and that is when I realize what I did. You need to be a little more open to people making mistakes. Also, many do not read the responses to their reviews and never realize they made the mistake.
reply by the author on 03-Sep-2017
Well I think I unmutet them and if they don't read the responses and say something then how do I know what their real intention was.
reply by Sasha on 03-Sep-2017
Sometimes you never know. Just wait for the next review and if they do it again, just ignore them. You will go crazy muting everyone that criticized your work (not meant to imply it requires criticism...lol) I get the occasional 4 and just ignore them.
