-There's a lot to like in this chapter, Sandra,
especially chocolate!
-I find your process of trying the recipe and
including it in the story to make it believable,
an excellent idea.
-I like the discussion of the committee and
the idea of Gwendolyn still wanting to help.
-Showing Michael the chocolate making is
detailed, and you give a good picture of
what Michael must be thinking of his mum:
"Michael's face was a picture. He often looked at me...
[I would put a period after mad and start a new sentence
with If anyone]
-I like the ending and the idea of talking to Ann
about her experience.

Thank you so much for all those lovely stars, my sweet friend. I've had two reviewers try out the recipe and liked it. It's very simple to make and you can add nuts or cherries.... I might make my own for Christmas! I am nearing the point now when things will start to happen and Veronica won't be so unhappy. Thank you, Pam, you know your reviews mean a lot to me. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

It's been a bit hectic these last few days, we are dog sitting a lurcher, he is a rescued dog and so sweet. So, I haven't been able to concentrate much.

I'm waiting for your poem, it's due any time now! xxxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. Glad to hear the recipe is being tried out. You make it sound delicious, like chocolate covered cherries! Keep it away from the dog:) I think you should sponsor a virtual chocolate making contest🙂
End of this week, my friend.

Hello Sandra,

Is this the same committee that works for fanstory, judging contests? I thought they might have been from another time zone; or maybe even the twilight zone.

Jowell stroked his long beard, huh. Makes him seems like an Athenian god from the past, rather than a future time manipulator. I picture clean shaven Marlon Brando, as superman's father.

One of the dilemmas of a time story. If Jowell and co. can travel in time or even just view time,
why don't they just jump a few days ahead in 1846 to see how Veronica's plan with the chocolate worked out. Or if this creates a parallel time zone, then the future will be quite confusing. Time can be as sweet as chocolate, or as messy, on a hot summer day.

If Joe can hear all these conversations of Veronica and Mildred, isn't he a bit suspicious of these choco plans.

Other than all that, this is another fine story. The chocolate makes me hungry.
A very good question as to why Joe leaped into Michael's body. As I remember, Veronica had no choice. It just happened. (or the Comm. made it happen) It is a sticky idea that Joe had any control. Why not into James? There must be some connection of space or place. Like the diary from the first story.

Well, so many questions
Time will tell.

Hi Robert, thank you again, my friend, for another of your amazing reviews that keep me on my toes. LOL. The committee, or as Veronica calls them, 'the powers that be' will be taking a more active part in this soon. (at least that's the plan at the moment!) I might change Jowell's appearance when this book is finished because many have mentioned Superman's dad, Jo-El. I mistakenly gave my man a similar name, so that has got to be sorted. My lot are from a time before time! :))

Why can't they just go forward in time and see what Veronica does? Well, if they did that, it would be against all laws of nature, they would be able to swing things in whatever way they wanted. Veronica is in present time, whereas Joe' family are 150 years in her past. What Veronica does hasn't happened yet, but what happens in Joe's time has. So, until she does what she's going to do, what has happened in Joe's time is the same still. Now, I know you are sitting there with your brows all squiggled up! LOL

Oh yes, Joe can hear them and he's taking it all in, but at the moment he's not convinced it's in his best interests, but what happens soon with change everything. Why did he end up in Michael? All will become clear after a chat with Ann and Daveth, also, to get him out of Michael he has to really want to. This is so different to what Veronica went through, hence her being so wound up.

Thank you, my dear friend. You actually help with these questions. I know where it's going but sometimes I'm not sure how I'm going to get there. When you ask me questions, I seem to be able to sort it out in my mind better.

So, after all that, I hope I haven't given you a headache! Thank you so very much, for the 6 lovely stars and this fabulous review. Big hugs. my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Sandra,
Thank you, for the recipe. It sounds yummy; I will try it sometime.
Good chapter. I was a little confused about the committee. I guess they are like angels watching?
Okay, have a good week.

Hi Sandra;
thank you so much for sharing this next chapter. I was wondering what Joe would think about the chocolate and if it would give Veronica some idea on how to removed Joe's entity from Michael.

It sounds like it has,

Thank you, Patty, that is what Veronica is hoping, but like everything else in her life, it doesn't always go to plan. :( But, Veronica is not one for giving up. :) Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Very good. chocolate to the rescue. I have an easier way to make chocolate. Throw a Hershey bar in the microwave and nuke it for fifteen seconds. Of course, they didn't have microwaves in 1847, but a quick trip to the future in the time machine would have worked.

Now that is a good idea! LOL, Could you imagine that? Everyone jumping into their own time-machine and checking out how to do things. Love it! Thank you, Tom, for this fun review. :) Sandra x

How can something so simple taste so good? I actually made a batch of your chocolate just to see how it might turn out. Sorry, I didn't save you a piece, but it wouldn't have been worth eating if you had had to wait until it crossed the Atlantic. So, as a friend, I just ate your part too. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. :-)

This was very well done Sandra and so very enjoyable to read. There was a good recall to bring the reader up to date and then adding the part regarding the meeting of the committee was a wonderful idea. It provided two things-a reminder of their activity in the story and a blink at what they were thinking and planning. It was a good touch to have Veronica consider talking to Anne. Very enjoyable and well done, thanks. PS I love the recipe, I found some silicone ice cube containers that are actually small bite size and works great. Again thanks.

Thank you so much, Alie, for another of your lovely reviews. I must try the ice-cube containers for my chocolate, what a clever idea! I didn't know what to suggest Mildred put it in because back in 1846 they wouldn't have had the equivalent. I had to be careful with what she could show Joe. Once he gets back into his own time, his wife might come up with an idea. We will have to wait and see. But, we still have to get Joe out of Michael! Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

You are most welcome Sandra, just remember if you can get the itzy bitzy ones they are truly bite size-my husband grabs a couple and off he goes, lol. I have a similar recipe but I like yours better or should I say Mildred's. It will be interesting as to what Joe's wife does come up with-after all it is the women folk who are creative (smiles). Oh I have faith that Joe will willing go. Take care my friend.

The story draws me in and makes me want to learn more. I find time travel fascinating. The idea that someone from another time could take over my child's body but this to me, doesn't read as a horror story. It reads more as a mystery with Veronica having first to figure out what's happening and then find out how to solve this. It seems likely that much chocolate will be involved and since I love chocolate that's a plus to me.

This a snippet of what I feel, will be a much larger piece of work, and as such is successful. As a stand alone it has an enormous cast of characters for such a small piece.

Hi Choco, thank you for reading this part of my novel. It is not supposed to be a stand alone story, it's part 13 of the second book of three books. The characters are well established and known to all the readers that are following the story. I have fewer characters than most novels. Also, I'm not sure where you got the idea that it's a horror story, it's a time-travelling fantasy. Thank you again for reading, I do hope you will continue. :) Sandra xx
