This is very good. Thunder and lightning are sometimes caused by summer heat. In Florida, it's called either heat lightning or sheet lightning. Good luck in the contest.

The words are obviously well chosen and thought out, which shows. Very good use of punctuation (my favorite!), and different than other entries I have seen. Good luck in the contest!

Wow you are steeling my attention as one of my favorite writers here on fanstory. I love the way you intertwine your words and bring on the 'big guns' so to speak. This is exceptional for the contest

I feel refreshed and energized just from reading this poem. Boy, I sure admire you for creating this sort of poem. Poetry is so difficult and requires a lot of mental energy, well I think so anyway. Good luck with the contest.

Hi there;
thank you so much for reading and reviewing this short work that took a great deal of thought - I wanted to portray the strength of my muse when he finally shows up, and I think I hit the mark,

Oh, amen to that! Bring down the thunder because we need rain here. This is a great tanka and I wish you all the best of luck in the competition. Giddy

Hi Giddy;
rain, thunder and lightening are all used as symbols to portray the strength we need. However, the rain can be taken literally or figuratively,

This is a very well written Tanka poem you have penned for the contest. You used very good wording and I love the art work you chose for this. Best wishes in the contest. Funny, but today it is pouring down rain from Hurricane and we had tornado warnings also. Appropriate day to read this! Best wishes in the contest. Teri

A very well-written Tanka. The heat of the summer makes us wish forba thunderstorm just to break the heat for a while. Only He can bring the thunder for relief.
