Nicely written lanturne poem. I read this and it makes me want to cry. All the soldiers fighting for us that lose their lives-we as a society sometimes forget. Thank you so much for sharing and best wishes on the contest

Thank you so much for the excellent review. Since my husband was a career soldier I have seen all aspects of the military. A soldier certainly deserves the respect of all Americans. Again, thank you.

This is well done, Eve. Unfortunately, the soldier is grieving the death of a fellow soldier of soldiers.
In its brevity, the imagery is vivid in this poem. I felt I was there at the service. The poem has a somber tone has expected from a poem with this theme.
