So the men are watching our little group. They must know why they are nosing around, then. What is so special about that painting? The thieves could save themselves a lot of grief if they just gave it back to its rightful owner. Why ask for trouble? Oh... so you have a STORY. Of course. LOL! :)

Hi, Barbara. I enjoyed reading this tense chapter. I get the feeling that something big is about to happen to Jeff and Anderson as they are being watched.
I'm not sure if it was intentional, but this phrase seemed stilted:
"Very good choices. I'll immediately bring the drinks."
"Very good choices. I'll bring your drinks."

Hi, Barbara. I enjoyed reading this tense chapter. I get the feeling that something big is about to happen to Jeff and Anderson as they are being watched.
I'm not sure if it was intentional, but this phrase seemed stilted:

Nice artwork up there! Character list is always much appreciated and very good idea. Oh, a Russian tea room. Lets pick a favorite paragraph, so many to choose from.Prose is entertaining and held my interest well. "The Beluga Gold, Golden Osetra for an appetizer, and a pitcher of ice water with lemon." Anderson glanced at his two friends. "Sound all right?" After they answered, he looked back at the menu. "I'll need more time for the entree."

You once more left it a t as dangler. This time I found no nits and the writing was excellent. I enjoyed the "gangster feel" of the post, the urgency and the tension that you built, keying up the good guys versus the bad, although I have reservation about whether the good guys are all good.

I liked this subtle build-up to what is coming next. Anderson is certainly a cool man, who seems to know what he is doing. The idea of messing with the Russian Mob is scary stuff, but I believe he can hold his own when under pressure. Nice work with this one. As always, I anxiously wait for the next post.
