Yes, books will outlast the author and we may never know who or when the words we write will reach out and touch someone. And those words can travel places we may never go or imagine. Great advice.

Probably some good advice Badger. But with today's technology its probably more beneficial and capturing a broader audience by producing an e book. I personally like the intimacy of a book and you can always pick it up or put it down whenever and wherever you want. Thanks for sharing

That's an interesting thought, Darren! I was curious with what a "thick haiku" could be. And then you tell us that the "thickness of a book" may reach "the masses." But sometimes, a short haiku might reach more. :))

'Sensationalism sells' is what they say
so write your book in a whimsical way. LOL
A short poignant poem, thanks for sharing. There is nothing to suggest or repute.

True, true. I am very supportive of writing a book. The authors voice should be heard. A book can change the way the reader's look at the world.
Also, a book is the author's baby and his/her legacy, living a lifetime.
In its brevity, this poem volumes and volumes -- it speaks an entire book.
Thank you for sharing.

I think you give good advice in this piece Badger_29. The issue with most of us is what to write. What's inside that anyone wants to hear. What keeps us from facing that fear ... are they excuses are real? Thoughtful write. xoxo Kiwi
