Congratulations on taking home the winning ribbon. Great accompanying photograph. It adds your work nicely. That's a cute little poem to commemorate a late great. Well thought out and clearly written. Nice work :)

Thank you, Smiley, for your laugh and good wishes (probably responsible for my win)!

This is a cute and humorous 5-7-5 written in Dean's honor. It does look like his hat. Didn't know he misplaced it. I like that you have rhymed all three lines. Illustrated well. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Hahaha...I was beginning to wonder what the heck had happened to Mr. Monopoly (the name of the cat in question). I'm sure glad you found him.
Now, if you can just give me your location I'll come out right away to take MM off your hands.
Funny poem, p-u-r-r-r-r-r-r-f-e-c-t syllable count too.

Dean, I think this may be a case of mistaken identity. I thought of you the instant I saw what I thought was a one-of-a-kind cat. Are you absolutely sure your Mr. Monopoly is missing? Is he also known as LIllian? This cat is, according to her collar. Sorry for the mixup, if it is one..
Thanks for your good contest wishes.

No, he came back last night--false alarm.
But, yes, I'm quite sure he was missing.

I enjoyed reading your humour poem "Lost and Found". You followed all the rules for this genre, and I too seem to recognise that hat.
All the best.
