Thanks for sharing the eclipse trip from the perspective of Howie and Bernie. How cute that Barney actually gave a peace offering. I guess the dogs were smart enough not to look at the sun so no glasses needed for them, right?

Hi there;
I read, and was told by my Vet, animals have an instinctual knowledge to NOT look directly into the sun - ever. I'm so glad they were there to share the moment - of course, knowing my hubby and dearest friends were there, too, made it an important moment,

This was a fun story. I like stories from the animals point of view. We are always trying to translate what our pets are saying to us, It helps pass the time doesn't it? Some animals are so smart and learn words quickly but others? Not so much. Good job on the story about the eclipse! It was amazing even though I had to see it on TV. LOL Nancy

A very well-written adventurous story. It seems the animals enjoyed the trip as much as the humans did. Howie and Bernie also meet a new friend Barney and they have lots of doggie fun. Lol.

There's nothing like an event such as an eclipse and the enablement of existing in a different spot an experiencing it, with one's pets, and looking and speaking from their perspective is cute, and quite definitely a lovely reading experience. I always marvel at you wonderful way of bringing out the characters and personalities of Howie and Bernie so well, they are really three-dimensional.

By this point I was near hysterical with laughter:>>Barney thought it was funny that Howie and Bernie usually did their business in the house on a pee pad. He was used to checking out the landscape and marking his territory. He felt it was his duty to teach Howie to do the same. He even managed to coax Howie to lift his leg to a tree or two.<<

Thank you Aki. You would have howled if you could have seen the expression on Bernie's face as he watched Howie lift his leg. It was priceless!
