God is good. And so is this poem. Well thought out and clearly written. Good visual imagery. Memorable last line. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.
I don't mind you referring to God as a Him, however, that might be politically incorrect. I've read a few commentaries and had some conversations. God is omniscient and some mistake for Jesus, however, that was a Messenger capable of conveying God's words. So double-check on the term 'Him'.

Thank you for the great review. There are so many ways people refer to God. Are they correct? Probably most are not. I do know in the Bible it says God is a spirit and we must worship Him in truth and spirit. It also says in another place about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one. I go by what my King James Bible says! Blessings! Teri

What a stunning image choice---God our Saviour.
I really relate to your word choices.
What greater love can He show to all mankind than to create all life,
walk beside us throughout our lives and welcome us home at life's end.
A fine spiritual 5-7-5 poem.
:-) Shirley

Best of luck in the contest with this fine entry. It's true, he is the all there is and we are fortunate to have him in our lives. This is a nicely presented and worded 5-7-5. Marilyn

Thank you for the great review!

Well, the image isn't to my liking because Jesus was a dark-skinned Middle-easterner, but the sentiment is spot on. The syllable count is on, too, and that is not true for all entries.

Very nicely done. I am not partial to the briefer poetic forms like Haiku or Senryu, but sometimes they can be artistic as is yours. Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. We can always trust God to come through in our times of distress. He will always hold our hand and lead us through on the right path.
