Truly enjoyed your up-date on wife and yourself. So very sorry about your situation, but yes God is always with us. Sounds like many good people have been there to help. God bless you and wife, we are praying for you always.

It is a good thing when friends and neighbors lend a helping hand. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is good imagery.

Thanks Bro. Yes God has blessed us with just ONE GOOD NEIGHBOUR at the back. We met originally about 17 years ago when our dividing fence was to be renewed. Been friends ever since. Sadly they are not believers we pray some how God will stir their hearts some day.

That's their choice. You're welcome, Geoff. Charlie

Thank you for sharing the intimate details of your life with us and that of your lovely wife. It's a challenging time as we grow older and less able to care for ourselves and/or our loved ones. God bless. PM

Oh, poor Louise. To only be bathed once a week is wrong, it's just not good enough. I'm surprised they never gave her bed baths in between times.
These days, nurses have time limits. Usually, they get into trouble if they take too long with one particular patient.
Maybe Louise will have to consider a serious diet. Losing weight would make her more manageable. But dieting is hard, so I hope she gets good advice in that area.
It is a sad thing to be separated from the person that you love.
And to be put in a geriatric ward at the age of 57 must have been a tough cookie to digest.
I hope she is recovered and coping better by now.

Yeah very hard to lose weight when you are stuck in Wheelchairs or a hospital bed. They did give her as we called em "Bird Baths through the week. But she was always made to wait till late in the mornings to be got up then put back in early in the afternoon...possibly due to as Jackie Franklin called them "necessaries" hehe.
