She had what we called a bird bath every day she did not get a shower. Still! It was all about needing 2 nurses to operate the hoist for safety reasons and short staff.

Story continues to be interesting and details in depth this experience.

Sometimes it seems patients in hospitals do not always get properly treated, case in point not getting the showers she should have every other day.

Yeah well she is now enjoying a shower 3 times a week. Which is an improvement with bird baths other days.

I enjoy your very informative and chatty posts Geoff, I visited my diagnostically terminal, close personal friend, yesterday at the Royal Adelaide hospital, not good, two of his daughters, wife Liz, we all met at my baptism years ago, and have been firm friends and brethren in God ever since! My friend was going to receive a bone marrow biopsy, horrid procedure! It's easier for me to catch the train in, as parking expenses are hideously high. I am pleased Louise has such great family support, especially from you and her parents. (I know it seems out of the question, but you might want to consider visiting every othe day so you won't get so tired. And I use baby wipes when I can't take a shower.). I liked your reference to Florence Nightingale, and I was relieved to learn your car started after the lights were left on so long. We have got to be thankful for the small favors too! Thanks Sis. I run an e-mail list for Christians if interested where I send around prayer requests and interesting posts for example Bro David Cloud in Nepal. Are we friends on Face book? A lot of what I have written is re-constructed messages I was putting up on Face book to all my friends and Bros and Sisters.

I can understand her here; I never go to a male gynaecologist so I think there a bit of a mutual feeling there:
because she was considered the "too hard basket" due to needing a couple of nurses to assist her...and she DID NOT WANT MALE ones assisting. As was her right, of course.
