Great love poem. Love is so hard to find but when you do it is the best feeling. Love the song! Thank you for sharing and best wishes in the contest

Nicely written lyrics as an entry in this lyric song writing cone. I too really liked those two songs, you've done well, with enough repetitive lines to give it that realistic "feel" to the song. A really good entry in this contest, hoping you do well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

When a relationship falter and fades away. Salute it and go your own way. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

This is a very well written song you have penned for the contest. You used very good descriptive words that told a story, which some songs are supposed to do. Best wishes in the contest! Teri

This is a well written break-up song. It shows the pain, doubt, guilt and loneliness of the loss of love. I think their is fault on both sides of a break up, unless it has to do with abuse.

Good luck in the contest.

Keep writing

thank you for sharing your entry in the Lyrics contest. I appreciate you singing the song for us. I can't always come up with a tune for the lyrics, so this was a much easier way for me to evaluate the content of the story.

When love leaves, the streets of a familiar city seem so foreign. You are searching for that one face. Without the presence of your love, you are lost.

Well done. Good luck in the contest,

~patty~

Thank you, Patty, for your review and for wishing me luck in the contest. I used to write the lyrics first, but now I hum the melody and beat first and then pen words to the tune. I am glad my singing made evaluating the content of my song easier.

Very well-written poem/song lyrics. When a relationship comes to an end it often feels that we are all alone in this world. There is no future without our love, but we know it all is for the best.

When I visited the bay I didn't see any fog, but I know of the phenomenon, I thought the bay was quite dirty and was a bit disappointed, especially when it was made so famous by the song, your poem reminded me of the feelings I had too! Love Dolly x

Oh, thank you, Dolly, for your review. Yes, the Bay can be murky brown from all of the silt coming out of the Sacramento River. Thank you for your review.

This song, Livin' in the Bay, has that sad theme of a lost love, but it feels more upbeat that depressing. It's a nice recording of the song as well. I like San Frisco when I visited it a couple of years ago. Nice touring town and a balmy 78 degrees all year round.
Liked the lyrics.
