This is a darling write, Patty. Bernie and Howie are adorable and I enjoy reading about them. Your essays/stories are so loving and we all love our little furry guys and girls, don't we? Give them a treat for me. Marilyn

Bernie does have a beautiful tail. I bet waving it earns him lots of treats. I loved his dream. When Willow's paws twitch in her sleep I imagine her chasing tasty mice.

So cute!! I like the treats growing from trees -- I swear that is what they probably dream about. Wonder what my cat is dreaming about when she is kicking her legs, flailing her paws, and flickering her eyelids. Oh, the whiskers are moving too. :P

How cute. He was lying with his tummy on the floor and his feet pushed out to the sides. Too tired to even wag his tail, Bernie let himself snooze. Poor pooch. safe is what matters most. Dog gone, during sleep was the bounty of treats. Hum, some juicy treats in his sleep. Dream on, Bernie. Bernie was awake. Howie spent so many hours cleaning, and the Mistress brushed every day, oh, I bet they did not mind to trim the pooch. Nice story, interesting. saw no SPAG issues. fantastic!

Hi Boo; I'm glad you enjoyed this little dog tale (tail.) These stories are rewards for myself; they seem to flow freely, and I don't have to edit very much and they are good to go!

I'm glad you enjoyed this one,

I can just picture them playing and jumping to couch and back down. I had three dogs till recently when two died. THe last one is now clingy and whiny, even tho she never wanted anything to do with the others and would snap and growl at attempts to play. When she passes, I'm finished with dogs. They tied me down too much. And I miss the ones we lost.

Hi Phyllis; I'm so sorry you are at the stage of losing beloved dogs - and then what? We decided Howie and Bernie will be the last dogs; if we are to replace them, there's always the chance the next ones would outlive us,

In a dog's world where there is play time, treats, and love from the mistress, what else to look forward to other than dreams. The Bernie and Howie story is dog heaven. These two little guys have it made.

Wonderful story about your two little boys! I always enjoy reading about them and the antics they get up to. Dreaming can be nice, but the real world is where treats are given, haha!

Sounds like some spoilt doggies to me with no air condition that is rough for you and the puppies. Cool tile is good for them so they don't over heat. A few treats wouldn't be bad either

What a great doggie dream. I like how you wove in the dream sequence to waking and then the chase with Howie and finally the almost dream-like contentment in real life.
