Maria, This is a really cute short story that would make any little child smile and laugh with glee to hear it being read to them. You used very cute wording and imagery. Blessings, Teri

Awww, Maria Jose, I think it was lovely little story and of course also very sad that she lost her favourite uncle. It's the sort of story that children like and childish adults like me.
I've been thinking about we meeting up in Madrid. What about 13th of September in the morning maybe for a coffee? It can't be too late because Marjory and I have so much to do. How does that sound? I would love to meet up with you. All the best. Ulla:)))

Silly story but delightful. That is slowwww travel. She spent her whole life on the road. She regrets it, but others would choose adventure. To each her own. :)

This well written from just a memory and God's slow lane critters. I had to laugh because with Parkinson's, slow is my mantra. Thank goodness for air travel! Thanks for sharing this ageless piece

Good morning Maria, this is a very interesting story tale, especially since you adding the reality to it in the Arthur notes. It is a very cute child's story and I know that many children would enjoy reading it. You write very good children tales. Do you publish any of them? When I was running my home childcare I would have loved to have a bookshelf full of your children's books.

hehe loved your author's notes. Don't think you could be ever too old for fairytale stories and fables Maria this is a good one for your children's book. Because you are an English teacher teaching English to the Spanish(correct me if I'm wrong) it would be perfect for them to read you simple worded stories to practice their command of the English language.

Thanks for sharing

Well, it is true. What I haven't shared is that I put the poor snail in a big matchbox and it died. I was devastated.
    Yes, I'm an EFL teacher.
    Thanks for reading.

I enjoyed this simple tale. It does not have a point other than to delight the imagination. It is creative and inventive:

'I'm sorry to inform you he was carried to market on top of a lettuce...'

As sad as wrinkled Susie is, her story made me smile. That says a lot.

Thank you for sharing your simple, silly story.

I liked your very well written silly story--and indeed it was kind of silly, but one does not have to be a kindergartener to enjoy a story like this once in a while. Very good job and perfect picture
