You are certainly wise, Mark. I like what you say in this poem and how you say.
I'm not sure about myself, though. I don't know if life has made me any wiser...
Thanks for sharing.

I guess you are just like a good wine -- mellowing with age. I particularly liked the regular instances of double syllable rhyme in the first two satanzas. The central theme is the standard plea for universal peace and where's the harm in that?

We can only pray that this would come about. I don't see much likelihood that it will, though.

Growing older doesn't guarantee wisdom. I'm a prime example that age and maturity do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. lol

    Be who you be
    say what you say
all life lover's we are free
We are all here to play

    Hear what you hear
    Touch what you touch
    Let me make it clear
    I love life so much

    See what you see
For the world is a vision
I know it's not just me
    Well that's what I'm wishin

    Come smell the garden
    Life's garden so sweet
    I beg no pardon
    We are what we eat

    Come grow with me
    Grow old and wise
    It's so elementary
    There's no disguise

Hello again DIP:

Good job on this poem and the below are wise words and mean a lot to the world. We can all take an example from you.

I haven't got angrier, I've just gotten even
Anger is wasted on those not believin'
That the world needs compassion
More love and understanding
Fighting's out of fashion
It's just too demanding

Hello there, Dip

I enjoyed reading this lovely poem about wisdom.

'Most' of us learn more about the important things in life as we plod along this rocky road...

Alas, greed and anger equally runs riot :(

kind regards

trimple

"Age and wisdom go hand in hand." Brother, can I argue that one! The immoral people of Hollywood and the imbeciles in Congress keep getting older, and dumber and dumber. (There' no fool like an old fool.) But the poem is just dandy, and a product of your trademark happiness and optimism.

A very well-written poem. As we age we get wiser and we are more respected by the younger because of our wisdom sometimes. It is not about how old you are, but how you grow in age and wisdom.

Experience being the central key, age and wisdom do go hand in hand.
Very well done piece of altered rhyming giving the piece a strong presentation.
