I've walked these 5K's before and really enjoyed them. No pressure. You look mighty happy to have finished and it shows on your face. Always a feel good time to know we've accomplished something. Marilyn

I love the photo of you smiling with pride
To know you made it to the finish line. I always say "if you don't enter you will never know if you would be a winner".
Have a bless week-end.

Yes, Cookie, if you don't enter, you will never know. Thanks for giving my poem its last review before the certificate expired.

Fun little bit of writing, I enjoyed it, and thought it captured the moment very well. Thank you for sharing and I hope you are feeling better by now.

Excellent. I can see this happening. Looks as he is a winner regardless. Having Christ on your side gives you victory no matter what. Well done poet.

This speaks one who keeps continuing endeavours by heart there is no chance of failure, rather there is always success after the effort, well explained; I liked.

Oh, thank you for your review. I felt I won just by finishing this race and writing this poem about it. Thanks.

I'm a little envious of people who run but then again I'm glad I'm the one sitting on the sideline eating that shake. lol. Congrats on the race. I can't even begin what it must feel like physically but then afterwards you get the emotional, I did it, rush. How cool! Getting back into running has to be hard.

No, it's not hard getting back into running. I just have to follow my doctor's and my physical therapist's orders to stretch my calves and massage my feet afterwards. Thank you for review and congratulations.

Yes, that's me in the photo. I jogged the race last year but limped it this year. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I suffered from neroma--ball of foot pain--from all of the walking I do. After physical therapy, I am back to jogging. Thank you for your review.

Good for you! And what a great picture! Excellent senryu captures the eventual pain and hope of a long race. Perfect last line. I would recommend this poem to everyone.

Sis Cat, this is a good little senryu. I fully emphasized this with you as I have bad knees from a sports injury. It's a blessing to get through any activity now but I push and persevere. Good job on your accomplishment and 5K medal :-) ~DD

Yes, DD, I had to drag myself and persevere on that race. Unbeknownst to me at the time, my foot suffered from neuroma--ball of foot pain. After physical therapy, it is better now and I will cherish the memory of finishing the race. Thank you for your review.
