Wow, you are full of surprises. I love the extra emphasis that you gave the poem on the end. What a unique ending and so different from most of your poems. It ends this poem so strongly. I could feel the passion in your words. You are really feeling this poem. Did someone make you feel that you don't have the freedom to do something. (lol) I love this poem...well alright.

Yep. Once they've taken our freedom we're fucked.
Freedom comes from courage to be who you are within, no matter the cost or sacrifice.
I have to say, freedom is worth it. If we bow down to these stupid evil scum that think they can spread they're scourge of uncivilised hateful barbaricism then we've imprisoned ourselves and given up our freedom.

I like the way you did this one, D. Though it echoes of your penchant for doom and gloom - but that's OK. There is one part I don't agree with - "That freedom's not something earned" and "It should be a given, just there for all" I understand your sentiment, but freedom has never been free; it has always been fought for. Seems like a good night for quotes;
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same." (Pres. Ronald W. Reagan)

Yeah but in an idyllic world freedom should be something you were born with like you were in the states if you were a white man hey?
All I'm saying is I am trying to be optimistic not realistic, for you know and I know this could never be in the real world.
Incidentally I have had a bit of a debate with Dawn regarding my poem "Unspoken words" She came up with the statement there isn't an ounce of meter in it Now you know my stance on meter So I read my poem 10 times and if that has no meter in it I'll fk a goat lol .

Your poem is urgent, reminding me of Winston Churchill's speech to the English about battling the Germans on the beaches and the trenches. Your words are urgent and elegant, ending with a rousing, fist-pounding-on-the-podium conclusion.
