Your poem tells a story of a family that struggled financially but somehow, always managed to get by. The glue that held them together was love. Your parents have left you with good, strong memories and that is a good thing. Not many parents do that--you were lucky.
Prosperity should not be measured in money alone, one can be prosperous in spirit and family too.

What a beautiful memory. Each line expressed such heartfelt thoughts. My heart melted as I read your poem. The rhyme enhanced the story told. It is true those memories of childhood continue to shape us our entire life.
