at the end of the second last line I am not sure why it is there but I love the poem

The captain has a way of making things even in his favor. And I bet no one will dispute him openly either. Nice end rhyming and use of enjambment to keep the story flowing.

I could picture a pirate standing on top of a pile of gold, looking at all the other pirates and telling him how the loot will be divided up evenly, all the while planning on doubling it for himself.

"Pirates of the Caribbean" is an attraction to share...
But "Black Beard and Blue Beard" would never have a care!
I gave this a five for your contest but it is weak in rhythm and rhyme.
