The harvest moon means a lot of work, but also reaping the rewards of year's work. Prayer can express gratitude before the benefits are realized.

I have never been much into Haiku, although I'm started to try my hand at it. I liked yours because, like all great poetry, it painted a picture in my mind. Thank you for sharing this.

Hola Gitana, como estas? Aqui hace tanto calor que no puedo hacer ni uno u otro. This is a wonderful haiku about prayer. I loved it. Very expressive.
By the way, do you know, how Douglas Paul is doing? He hasn't been on the site for quite a while.
I'm about to post my own haiku for this week. Un abrazo de tu amiga Ulla :)xx

    Hola guapa

Douglas is fine he just doesn't have the time to do fanstory. I chat with him at the haiku club every day.

Hello little sister,

"on my knees I pray" - this portrays a soul of purpose and dedication to me.

"enveloped in amber light --" - amber resonates truth and innocence, the light of God hugs your truth.

"harvest moon" - this feels like a time of plenty and generosity. The harvest moon is one of the largest moons of the seasons. It's beauty fills the sky and in your poem, it fills the heart with true understanding.

Loved it MariVal. xoxo deborah

G'day mate.

You are the queen/princess of these little poems. This is another beautifully presented piece.

There are lots of those little "Ã??Ã?" site glitches on the member names and in your notes.

Great job once again.

Cheers Fez

Cheers, Gypsy;
-Wow! Romantically artistic in a composite of beautiful artistry in relationship to a very demonstratively descriptive and definitively expressive imagery presented by your haiku. And I'm gratefully sorry I have no more six-star ratings in my coffer or outside give you one.
-Great to grammatically connected lines that are full of imagery.
-A great satori and kigo combined to present an aha moment and spontaneous creativity that supports the conceptual theme of your haiku.
-Thanks for sharing and take care and have a good one.
Alex

Hello, Gypsy, :)

Sounds witchy! :P

My favorite season is fall, so I love your haiku. Is the kigo the satori? Okay, I looked it up, confusing. Kigo has to do with weather, satori is the awakening part.
Let me get to the forum, to check it out.

Have a good day. :)
