Cute little dialog between Howie and Bernie. It shows their personalities and even their mispronunciations and gives the backstory of who came first. I don't know if the contest requires that you remove the quotation marks. You might want to check other entries.

Of course this was excellent. All your dogs stories are. I feel sorry for Bernie. Howie is always playing alpha dog with him. Make Bernie the hero of your next story, okay? LOL

Hi there; Bernie gets to play the hero in a few of the stories, but in all honesty, he really is the 'goofy' dog while Howie is the more 'genteel.' I will see what I can do in the next story to make Bernie the star,

So cute. I love the picture too. Your dogs are pretty good writers... darn good consider how young they are. I'm down to one dog from three, and is she loving the attention... and the extra treats. We only have one left to spoil, and that's the whole reason to have dogs, I think. I'll bet Howie and Bernie agree. :)

Another cute doggy story! I read it through, and didn't notice any spags. The dialogue is amusing, and Howie's and Bernie's voices are distinctive. I realize the contest is dialogue only, but when it is over I think a little description and narrative could really make this story pop!

Very cute. I have a pair of pet siblings at the kennel where I work who remind me of them; the older one is smaller and quite dignified, like Howie, while the younger one just wants to run around and play all day. Poor Bernie. I think he is very 'hansum'.

Hi Blue; thank you so much for the lovely review. I've been asked to have Bernie be the 'star' once in awhile because Howie is usually the 'alpha' dog. It would be much easier to do if Bernie weren't so 'goofy.'
