Exactly - reverse Robin Hood.
I try not to say about this person who miraculously became the most powerful man in the world. Americans couldn't have done worse, choosing this person, who seems to suffer massive intelligence celibacy as I call it.

A Relevant poem, thanks MariVal.

I enjoyed reading your haiku "Putrid healthcare Bill". You kept o the 5-7-5 rule for this contest which I like. Unfortunately, no matter where we live in the world we all have our reverse Robin Hoods.
Best of luck.
Marybell.

One can feel your anger and concern, I think Trumpis just a legalised thug, as was his father and grand father, all gained money by illegal means.
I totally agree with your haiku write your words jump out at the reader.
We in the UK have our NHS so everyone gets free treatment even visitors that's why we voted to leave the EU they were trying to make your type of care, we can get private treatment if we pay for it, trouble is it's the same surgeons etc that work in NHS it's been under tough times recently due to government cutting treatments I believe we should all be treated the same and if from abroad you should pay as we have to pay in all the 27 members of the EU . Trump should try being poor for a couple of months to see what poor folks go through. Great and very valid point of view. Thank you for letting us know what's really going on in USA.

Thank you for the review and kind words. I didn't vote for Donald trump. I was in shock and sick when I found out he was elected. But he had help from the Russians. You are right, he is a thug.

Yes, Gypsy, 'reverse Robin Hood," indeed. (Note the correct spelling. This is a stark haiku ripped from the headlines about the "putrid healthcare bill." You pull no punches about the transfer of wealth from the poorest to the wealthiest. Thank you for sharing and even more for caring. May God help us all.

Hi Gypsy, This does make an impact and your authors notes gave me the kigo reference so now I understand the connection to the season. Wow I think Trump will have much to answer for and sounds like he has no idea Hmmm doesthat surprise you. Good work Cheers Christine

Hi Gypsy, a most unusual take and very well thought out haiku. The book should contain quite a variety which is good to see. I wanted to ask you since I am out of touch, how do we stand on personification in haiku these days. I see a lot of haiku with personification. Is it okay now? Giddy

Yes, personification is okay with contemporary English haiku in general but you don't have to do it with your haiku, you decide.

    Thank you for the review.

In Australia, America's social healthcare is compared to third world countries, the vast majority of western democratic countries provides healthcare for all classes, not just the rich, one could never be bankrupted by health provision here, or Canada I believe. Well done, all should have access to quality healthcare, well done, you fight for it, it's a right. Gypsy, blessings, Roy

I don't profess to know anything about what's being done on the new, to be, health care policy. But everyone should have the right to healthcare, no matter what. But so far that hasn't happened. So far Obama's system doesn't work. The list of doctors who honor his insurance in my state has dropped off eighty percent. Poor people can't hardly get anyone to treat them. I don't trust Trump as far as I could throw him, and so far I haven't heard anything to make me think his new plans are any better that what we have. Our congress needs to be the ones to step up and demand that something is done for the people! Anyway, we can only hope. Thanks for sharing. :-)

The illustration is to die for (literally, unfortunately). I love that people use their voices to speak up against the evil that is happening in our country. I like the way you put your poetic finger on the crux of the issue here - the purpose for rolling back Obamacare isn't to make healthcare better, it's to make the government pay less so that the rich can have tax cuts.

Well said!

Thank you, Mark, I appreciate your review and understanding. I will be affected, among many others, if this bill goes into effect. It's a terrifying thought.

Ya know, MariVal, it shouldn't surprise those of us who are on Medicare and Medicaid and who also suffer from mental illness that Trump would lie about such a thing just to get elected. He did a complete about face--a 360 degree turn around, and did the exact opposite of what he promised everyone he would do if Obamacare was repealed.
At least Robin Hood had nobility and his intentions were pure.
Those of us who felt Obamacare wasn't ideal (which it wasn't--far from it) will be praying for Obamacare after this travesty of political justice is through with us.
Is genocide of the old, feeble and infirmed far off?
Elderly folks...I'd be on the look-out if I were you!
