I think the emphasis on the "regal" or stuck-up nature of the unicorn portrays one common vision of this mythical animal. I like the line, " I am a rainbow beauty" in particular.
I think I enjoy a more consistent meter helps me in the reading, especially with a longer poem with a series of new ideas. It helps me tie the "facts" or "characteristics" together.
You started the vast majority of the lines with I, but not all. The interruption of pattern disrupted the tone.
