This poem, Rainbows, uses many descriptive lines, layered together like the stripes of a rainbow, to bring the reader into the light as to what constitutes this visual show. Nice.

Best wishes in the contest with your lovely poem.
Beautiful words and a lovely image go together well.
The blue font on the vibrant pink background is exceptionally hard to read.

beautiful picture, representing a rainbow. The free verse defines the concept of the rainbow, with every descriptive line painting again on our cortex the mental picture of the awesome phenomenon.

Thank you so very much, my friend. I appreciate your kind review. It is a Tableau though, not a free verse, lol

The rainbow itself is a spectacle, and its good to view the double dose; a not so frequent but natural occurrence. The poem is a catcher too. Good luck for the contest.

Sorry I couldn't give you six stars for this lovely poem. Your presentation gave your words so much energy. I really enjoyed the story/poem. You know the real meaning of a rainbow? God made a pact between Himself and man, never to flood the earth again. The Rainbow represents that pact. Well done poet.

Yes, there is a wonderful story behind the rainbow, I thought to be different and go the scientific way of it. Thanks so much, Kay for your kind review.

This is a very good poem. The rainbow symbolizes God's promise to never again destroy the world by water. You have chosen a great picture to accompany your poem.

Rainbows are such a wonderful image that they certainly make a wonderful subject for a poem and contest. I particularly liked your line "iridescent awe". It seemed so appropriate for the topic. The repetitive five syllable line was an interesting choice for this poem. Was there a particular reason you decided on that?
Another line I liked was the first one, "Nature's defiance". It was a very strong image and "defiance" is not something I would normally associate with rainbows.
Good luck in the contest.
