A lovely doggies tale or tail lol,. I have to leave my two year old on the 27 th at the vets hospital, dreading it we've never been on our own and worry if he will settle it maybe just for one night and depending on what the MRI and CT scan shows up. He injured himself jumping out of the car at Hyde Park, he sort of twisted his back end, now when he does toilet he crys and limps so badly he's in pain I hope they find out what he's done. So I have all sympathy for the two boys who look adorable

I did speak to the head nurse, she assures me he won't be left alone as each animal has their own nurse which I think is a great thing. I bred and showed Jack Russell's for thirty years, Powys my last of my dogs blood line died two years back my friends got together and got Boswell for me. I think it was too soon after Powys died but I wouldn't be without him now.

I think dogs do talk to us with their eyes and movements I wished I'd heard Powys talk just for one day. He knew he was a good looking dog and let all the ladies know lol.
Your write reminds me of my dogs I love the way you explain their moments of talking you got that spot on. Nice job my friend.

Oh no. I do hope that everything goes well for Boswell. Its amazing the way these pups can hurt themselves. Howie and Bernie do well when I leave them - they simply 'adopt' the vet techs and beg for treats and enjoy when they can.

I will keep you and Boswell in my prayers,

thats what I'm hoping for, for Boswell's stay I just hope they find out what he's done as he jumped over the console then sort of twisted him self. What I can't work out is that he runs about the flat with no trouble but can't walk him. I love the way they can tell the bad from the good they can't be fooled. Sometimes I wish I'd got a friend for him was going to name it Dr Johnson a great writer he lived in London in the mid 1700 Boswell was his best friend and an author Johnson write the first dictionary. Here endothelial the lesson lol.

I'm glad the little dogs got along well at the kennel but I'm sure they are glad to be home:)

Great story written well in 3rd person.

I'd been missing their stories :) I believe the first picture (on top) is that of Howie. As I read along, I could picturise them in mind. Enjoyed reading as always... Well written and an interesting piece of work.

Hi Leena; I knew that the fans of Howie and Bernie stories had been missing them as I put the five part series of 'The Letter' out, so I knew I needed to get one of their stories out.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading it,

Hello, Patty,

I like your story about the way doggies passed their days at the kennel in absence of their mistress. I bet you missed them :) It sounds like a fancy place... heh heh nothing wrong with that. Everyone deserves a little pampering once in a while.

Hi Gypsy; Howie and Bernie are certainly spoiled. They are somewhat of 'stars' at the Vet's office - they are a big part of the newsletter, and so I get the upgraded spot for a lower fee.

It makes a bit easier to leave them alone,

A very well-written story about the luxury life Howie and Bernie enjoyed while you were out of town. Although they missed you they surely had a good time for a while.

Hi Sandra; I do believe that Howie and Bernie really enjoyed the comforts of the deluxe kennel. I see them looking at the TV in askance as if the shows they watched for ten days should be on our set, too.

    I appreciate your kind words,

Patty,
This is a great story about a pet 'hotel'. I have heard them called that here. Your little dogs were lucky you boarded them in such a nice place. I enjoyed the POV from the dogs. I know you missed them, but you knew they were well cared for. That makes it easier to deal with. Thanks for sharing & caring. Jan

Hi Jan; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. It DOES indeed make it easier to leave the dogs when I know they will be well cared for - even spoiled a bit.

Of course, they are now demanding I change the channel to 'Animal Planet' during the day,

Oh, I want one - no, two - it's so hard to be without a dog now - I'm such a lover of dogs, but I don't think it would be fair to get one now - we are getting on in years and are out a lot - also, we have our grand-dogs to stay - our youngest son's rescue dogs.

So, naturally, I loved this, Patty. - one minor thing - I notice you've more or less repeated one line albeit a paragraph apart

Cool, clear water was dispensed from a fountain in the corner, and a
Water was dispensed from a flowing fountain and it was always cold and fresh.

Hi Margaret; thank you so much for the lovely review. I appreciate you pointing out the nit - I went back and changed the line - I think in the final edit I honestly thought I had forgotten I had already mentioned the water system.

As always, I appreciate your continued support,

That sounds like a luxury resort. I bet that costs!
What dog wouldn't be happy with those facilities?
Everything a dog could want. Good job thinking about what might be going through their heads. We are always commenting on what our dogs are thinking. I wonder.... Nancy

Hi Nancy; yes, sometimes we splurge on the dogs' accomodations. It usually happens when I'm feeling guilty for leaving them alone so much.

It gives me a great deal of joy trying to imagine what goes in in their little fuzzy heads; being able to express it in my writing is a pleasant bonus,

Some kennels treat their pets like royalty. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is good imagery and descriptive scheme.
