Aand then I love all the photos and stories about them. Bless you for looking after these lovely angels and keep the good updates coming my way! Blessings and Hugs! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

Hi Vance; the virtual six is very nice - its the thought that counts! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and pictures of my furry critters,

A wonderful little story, mostly from the dog's point of view again. Glad I had a "six" left for this.

I liked how Howie knew he was being cute!

I'm sure the Punctuation Police will find something amiss, but for myself, I couldn't find anything you need to change.

Keep writing!

Hi there. Thank you so much for honoring this story with a SIX. I love to write about the boys, and after having to stay in the kennel while I was in Virginia, I thought they deserved it,

I'm glad you enjoyed the story,

It's wonderful what joy is spread from humans to the animals we love. Be they dogs or cats they give us so much joy every time we say 'Hi' the world would be a lonely place with just humans fighting and killing each other. Sincerely Anne

Hi Anne; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. Yes, there is nothing quite so comforting as a cold nose to say hello in the midst of the horrid stuff on the TV news,

This was absolutely adorable Patty. You are lucky that your boys are content in the kennels. Our two would tear the place apart and go on hunger strike.

This was really well written and thoroughly enjoyable

hugs

Hi Freda; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. I had to get the boys used to kennels from an early age. I don't trust anyone to be in my house nor will I let someone watch them for free - you get what you pay for! So, the boys get to stay somewhere I know they will like - they love it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story,

We are truly blessed to have three sets of dog minders who come in each day when we take a break. they don't take payment but we always find a way to recompense them.

Hi Patty,

Good writing! They are so adorable.

Good sentences: At those words, Howie went down on all four paws, and began to run in circles around the tech's feet. He yipped and danced. Wet tongues licked wherever they could reach. She laughed and giggled. He was so happy he could burst.

I can't believe the description you gave of the kennel. Is it really like that? It must cost a fortune. The only kennels I've known were not much different than being in the dog pound but without the fear of being euthanized.

Believe it or not; my vet offers these deluxe condos and Howie and Bernie stayed there for the first time last week. Since I'm writing articles and stories for the vet's newsletter, he said I could start putting the boys in the fancy kennel when I go - provided he doesn't have any reservations with people that would pay full price.

Finding the perks of being a writer!

What a wonderful story about your boys. You chose a different direction, showing how they are treated nicely in their stay instead of just bringing out a sense of abandonment. You help draw a picture of the boys in the most charming way.

Great job,
Rhonda

Hi Patty. I loved your story of Bernie and Howie. So sweet and well described. I have a female kitty who does this:
"His best trick was to stand on his back legs and beg with his front feet." She will do this and cry until I pick her up and walk around with her on my hip, like a baby.

Your story is well written and full of little details that are endearing to the reader. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn; thank you so much for stopping by to read the latest offering of doggy stories. The boys are very happy to be home, but I think they would like me to tune the TV to 'Animal Planet.'

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I would love to get a chance to cuddle with your sweet kitty,

What lucky dogs! Most pets get left at home with a neighbor or petsitter to take care of them every day. That doggie hotel sounds like a place where they'd be spoiled rotten.

Hi Cindy; the dogs are indeed spoiled at the doggy hotel. I think I have to find one of the dog beds they have because they tell me Bernie absolutely loves it. I'm too paranoid to have a neighbor or petsitter come into my house - AND they boys are used to having constant companionship - me!

Thank you for reading and reviewing,

My first dog was a maltese. He was an amazing dog! Your description of "pretty feet" was spot on for what my shih tzu does. I enjoyed reading about a dog's perspective of when you leave.
