G'day friend, Really enjoyed your conversation with ? A nice change to speak with animals, they are loyal and respect each other, never kill unless hungry. Well done fellow Aussie XX Kay.

Dear Kay, thank you for your review and the five stars. I am fascinated by animals and their ways of communication. It would be the greatest gift of all to be able to really "SPEAK" to them and have them answer.
If you care to, please look in my portfolio for my story called "Quill" about an encounter with a wedge tailed eagle in the zoo. It was a wonderful experience, believe me! Cheers Cass

I believe animals are listening to and understanding what humans say. No such thing as a dumb animal. God gave us speech, gave the animals telepathy. Cheers, Kay.

A sweet little tale to get us acquainted with a little host of interesting characters. Boy, they do have a ton of personality, don't they? Nice job.

Dear Jo Ann, See I remembered. Much nicer than Froggie. Thank you for your review and the five stars. This started out as a "picture this " challenge, but it has to be poetry. So I changed the picture and adjusted the words. Now everyone is happy and I have a new inspiration for writing. Watch this space cheers Cass

I enjoyed reading this chapter about having a conversation with an orangutang.
This was my favourite part:
"No,it was a present from his keeper and he gave it to me but I didn't wear it at first, because one of the baboons said it made my bum look too big. " --this is about a hat, lol!
A fun read with a really cute image.

Dear Friend, Thank you for your review and the five stars. Well, that was what the baboon said, so all I can say is they must have a thing about big botties. You never can tell about baboons you know. Cheers Cass

This is a really cute story idea :) I can picture the chimps making a hat out of items tossed out by people at the zoo. You put a smile on my face, and held my interest from beginning to end.

My only thouht about spag and such is that maybe you could double space after each space tag. It just looks all squishy to me.

This is a fun story. You're onto something here :)

Dear Joy, Thank you for your review and the five stars. This was originally a "picture this" entry, but it needed to be poetry. So I changed the image (at Jax's request) and did a re--edit on the words and here 'tis. Yes , you're right about hitting onto "something " here. The wheels are turning steadily . I will look at spacing and see what you mean. Thanks again cheers Cass

Arghhh! My spelling was terrible in this review. It should read, "thought" and, "speech tag". I'm a numskull!

Hi Cass. I enjoyed reading your orangutan/monkey story. This is an answer to the Picture This post, I think, with a different image. I like her hat. Your ending is especially amusing with the monkeying around comment (or lack of it). Just one little type I found here: "In fact I have ben (been) informed" Marilyn

Dear Marilyn, Thank you for your review and the five stars. It started out as a "picture this " piece, but as it must be poetry, I had to change the image. Jax is very happy with the one I chose. The spag has been corrected. Thanks for that cheers Cass

I still consider it a post for the group. It was very cute. Glad Jax liked it, too. :)

You've written a funny story and accompanied it with a funny picture. Your story is short and to the point. There are no wasted words. You tell your tale and get out.

Dear Thomas, Thank you for your review and the five stars. It was a "picture this" entry at first, but when Jax advised me it had to be poetry I changed it to a different kind of entry. I am glad you like it Thanks again cheers Cass

I enjoyed the piece very much overall. However, there are a few errors with punctuation and I recommend breaking the following sentence into two.
"Horace said she was just jealous because all they have over there are paper bags which they rip open to get what's inside and they aren't any good after that."

Dear Friend Thank you for your review and the five stars. Yes, I have revised that sentence and made it a bit shorter. It works better that way, so thanks for that cheers Cass

A rasta orang smoking a spliff.
I realize this is a humorous post,
but I feel a bit sad.
True, these apes are intelligent, and caring.
All the more reason to treat them with respect.
And they're not monkeys.

Peace, Lee

Dear Lee, Thank you for your review and the five stars. I totally agree with your words on treating them with respect. They are beautiful, wise , gentle creatures that Man has used cruelly. I mean them no disrespect in the piece I have written. cheers Cass

I talked to a peacock one time, but it fluffed its wings and flew away. The keeper ask if everything was alright. Of course I replied. The bird needed directions to Alaska so I told him. They are having me committed next week. LOL.

Dear Ben, thank you for your review and the five stars. Well, I'm not at all surprised the men in white coats are coming to take you away (tra la). Everybody knows peacocks DO NOT GO TO ALASKA. Their feet get cold and their toes drop off. It makes them so disagreeable not to be able to stand up and spread their tails. You ought to have said the peacock was asking directions to somewhere much warmer. New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Never mind dear man, just let me know when you have been called for and collected and I'll ring them up and tell them it was all a big mistake. That they cannot hide you away in their rubber room as you are far too important to your friends on FanStory. Cheers Cass
