I like this one.
It has a little,"Planet of the Apes" feel to it. I am glad to see the friends are safe and are enjoying their tropical get-away.
Oh and how considerate to send a post card to the zookeeper. LOL
Great fun to read.

A very well-written poem and fun interpretation for the 'picture this' challenge. A tourist see the orangutan in the zoo and kidnap him to a tropical island where he can be free to be in the Wild.

So cute and creative, Jo Ann! It is so much fun to see how different writers interpret the same picture. I think this is now the fourth one I've read for this particular challenge.

Excellent aabb rhyming. I love that you have these primates escaping the zoo to go to a tropical island, and sending their keeper a postcard letting him know that "all is right" (a very sweet ending). Your poem made me smile. "Ta, ta now" and "on coconuts dining" ... love this!

Great job on the 'Picture This' challenge, Jo Ann! I really enjoyed your poem. ~ ~ Connie

Such diverse comments on this picture and I like your offering with the dialogue from the point of view of the Orangutang. Great rhymes and sentiments, love Dolly x

I really enjoyed your picture challenge "Listen to the Hand..or is it Foot". You told an amusing story which I could see very clearly as I read it and it rhymed well.
Best of luck in the contest.

Hello frogbook
Yes it humorous with fun rhymes and loved the part where you said
ne day the keeper received a postcard, sun shining,
two smiling friends, on coconuts dining.
Their own private island, ocean sparkling bright,
It said, 'Don't worry, all is right!'

Very cute! I like how it starts perfectly with the reference to the picture and then the fun escape from the zoo. Hope they learned how to open coconuts. Those are tough!
