Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

this gets a six for content, flow, rhyme, meter, and the telling of the truth of the wolf, it is not the viscious fanged beast that it is made out to be. Excellently done

Thank you so very much for the six stars, Barb! I'm glad you like wolves, I think they are wonderful creatures. You just have to respect them and leave them to their own. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

A very well-written poem. To meet eye to eye with a wild wolf must be extremely stressful for any human. We know our abilities will not get close to the abilities of a wolf.

Thank you, Sandra, for reading my poem. I've a long fascination with wolves, I think they are very intelligent creatures, and also quite sensitive. I'm delighted you enjoyed this one. Thank you! :) Sandra xxx

Unusual content for the sonnet form, but following in the best Shakespearean traditions of rhyme, metre and development. The actual story resonated with me as back in the seventies I had a dog (definitely no wolf) who would howl whenever I played my accordion. Folk said he was a knowledgeable critic, which I thought was unkind of them. I knew that, like your wolf here, he was just joining in.

I'm sure your dog loved your music, Jim! LOL, they were very unkind. I know for a fact animals do like to join in, and many do. Thanks for your lovely review, my friend, I am loath to call my poems a sonnet as many say my sonnets are definitely not sonnets. So, I just call them poems. (Safer that way!) saying that, I'm really pleased you said it was!! Thank you! :) Sandra xxx
