Ha, this is a terrific story, Ric. You had me hooked all the way through. The switch and the crazy drugs and psychopath murderous woman made for an incredibly entertaining read.

Best of luck to you in the contest with this big red ruby gem.

Dean had asked me the week I was in Atlanta to put something in his contest, and of course, I forgot all about it until last night. I wasn't about to not submit something after him personally asking me to participate. And yes, I know he wanted to fill his roster. LOL! I had a lot of fun writing it. Trying to insert certain elements of humor without totally destroying the horror effects. I do wish there had been some time for editing and polishing, but if you like it, I'm happy. I knew I would be stepping into another league with the writers in this competition, but it wasn't even about being competitive, just participating. Thank you so much for your constant support that has picked me up so many times over the years. Without you I wouldn't be here. Thanks so much, Gloria, my friend, for taking time to read my story. Your kind words and extra-special six-star review are greatly appreciated, as is all your encouragement that has kept me trudging on during the hard times. I appreciate you more than words! :-)

Yay! I was so happy to see your name pop up in my messages! I've missed your writing. This piece took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I went from chuckling about Freaked-out Felix Ficklefarmer (great name, by the way) to being terrified that the main character killed his date from the night before to feeling sad about his own fate. This was a really good story. It kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to see how it turned out. I love Felix! He's a great horror host! This was a fun frightening read! Best of luck to you in the contest! :)

Thank you so much, JennaG, for taking time to read my humor, horror story. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. I can't keep the horror stories all blood and guts. I have to break things up with a little silly stuff, maybe not so much for the readers, but for me. LOL! I appreciate you! :-)

This is the most repulsive thing I have ever read, which is to your credit as a horror writer. I really, reeaaaalllly wish I hadn't read it though. I want it OUT OF MY HEAD... NOW!

I tried to add a little humor along just for you, since I know you don't like the genre so much. The whole idea is to give you something that sticks with you. But something of course that will wash off. Thank you so much, Phyllis, my dear, for taking time to read my humor, horror story. Your kind words, comments, and generous review are greatly appreciated, as always. I appreciated you! :-)

Three police officers step in grabbing Natalie by both arms and slam her to the floor.
*** Needs work, maybe: "Three police officers step in to grab Natalie by both arms and slam her to the floor."?

"Well, Sir, you had better rethink your feelings for Ms. Natalie, as in her garage we found two freezers full of body parts. Your friend here, his parts weren't even all the way frozen.
*** Ah, hah. A last minute twist.

Hello, and welcome back, it's Freaked-out Felix Ficklefarmer here again. We hope you enjoyed our feature presentation and made it all the way through it in one piece. Ya'll come back now, Ya here? HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
*** Could lead into a series.

Thank you so much, Charlie, my friend, for taking time to read my humor and horror story. I just can't seem to write all horror without breaking things up with a little humor, which I guess, probably takes some of the edge off. If not for the readers, then for me. LOL! Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated! :-)

Are my eyes deceiving me? TWO posts from RIC in the same year. This is an excellent entry in Dean's contest. I would wish you best of luck, but I entered the contest too. I hope you crash and burn. Good luck crawling away from that with no arms or legs.

Truth appears false sometime as it is well said, things are seldom as they seem, author might have the fun of hallucination but everything happened so fast in a mysterious and horror bound; I liked.

Well, Felix, this is one helluva story, a sort of tongue in cheek, horror delicacy to whet the appetite of the Stephen King enthusiast. It has very light moments it, making it humourful and entertaining, the poor deluded character is great, and his victim, who was'nt his victim, was a poor pathetic creature, as it turns out, is drugged, and his ghost witnesses his "dupedom" well done, an excellent entry in this contest, good luck, blessings, Roy
